BURT And Secretary General Of The DPR Cancel The IDR 43.5 Billion RJA Curtain Project

JAKARTA - The House Household Affairs Agency (BURT) of the House of Representatives (DPR) and the Secretariat General of the DPR have agreed to cancel the curtains, curtains, and blinds project for the House of Representatives (RJA) Members of the Indonesian House of Representatives in Kalibata and Ulujami worth IDR 48.7 billion. The curtain procurement project was carried out by the company that won the auction with a value of IDR 43.5 billion.

"After a long meeting between the BURT and the Secretary-General of the Indonesian House of Representatives, the conclusion was drawn not to continue the implementation of the Indonesian House of Representatives RJA curtain", said Indonesian House of Representatives BURT, Chairman Agung Budi Santoso, at the House of Representatives building, Tuesday, May 17.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chairman of BURT DPR Johan Budi added, that BURT had listened to the explanation of the Secretary-General of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Indra Iskandar. BURT has also received a detailed explanation of the review conducted by the Indonesian House of Representatives' inspectorate.

According to Johan, from the discussions carried out, it was agreed that the procurement of curtains for the 2022 DPR RJA would not be continued.

"From BURT's 'glasses' after listening to the results of the 'review', the procurement process is by Presidential Regulation number 12 of 2001 concerning the Procurement of Goods and Services", he explained.

Johan said, so far the news regarding the curtain project seems as if the price offered is too high. However, according to him, from the explanation of the Secretary-General of the House of Representatives and the team formed, it has gone through a long process.

"Later, the Secretary-General of the House of Representatives will explain because the public needs to know, for example, what the appropriate measure for DPR members is", he said.

Meanwhile, the Secretary-General of the House of Representatives, Indra Iskandar, said that the auction selection was not choosing the highest bid, but going through a measurable process and mechanism.

"The work bureau works professionally, very selectively, a fake company can't get away with it", he said in short.

Previously, the Chairman of the Budget Agency of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Said Abdullah, requested that the procurement of curtains for the House of Representatives (RJA) worth IDR 48.7 billion be canceled. Moreover, the one who won the tender was the highest bidder with a value of IDR 43.5 billion.

According to Said, budget transparency related to the procurement of curtains has been fulfilled. However, the problem then reaped the pros and cons in the community.

"The public's tendency towards the DPR's curtain of IDR 43.5 billion from the transparency process has been fulfilled. However, because it has become a pro and con, it is no longer a question of transparency, it is not a question of the auction process but seems to 'wound people's hearts in the midst of a pandemic'", Said told reporters, Thursday, May 12.

Because of this, the PDIP politician suggested that the Rp43.5 billion curtain replacement project be canceled. Because, Said said, it does not have the principle of good benefits for members of the DPR, let alone the community.

"In my opinion, as the head of Banggar, it would be better if then firmly state the IDR 43.5 billion for the RJA curtains to be canceled. Because in the end, it would be useless, even if every member was asked, he would not know the process", said Said.

Said claimed to know the details of the budget for the procurement of curtains. But for other members of the DPR, he believes that each person does not know about the certain budget. It could even be that members of the DPR feel embarrassed if asked by their constituents.

"How is the process going on in the budgeting, maybe as the head of the budget will know and be responsible, then the task force in the Secretariat General. More than that, if the members are asked about curtains, they will also be embarrassed", he said.

For this reason, Said emphasized that it would be better for the Secretary-General of the DPR to cancel the project to replace the curtains on the official houses of members of the DPR.

"Cancel, cancel and cancel the IDR 43.5 billion curtain project!" he said.
