JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno met Singapore's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vivian Balakrishnan. They discussed efforts to increase cooperation in the tourism sector to create job opportunities.
Sandiaga Uno's presence in Singapore was one of his series of visits after he was invited to give a speech at the 'High-level Thematic Debate on Tourism' event held by the United Nations General Assembly Hall, New York, United States.
"He is a good friend. We believe in post-pandemic recovery efforts. We hope to increase the number of tourists between Indonesia and Singapore," said Sandiaga Uno in a written statement, Monday 9 May.

Sandiaga really hopes that this can increase the number of job opportunities in Batam and Bintan and the surrounding area.
"I am very grateful for the support assistance related to ferry capacity and flight capacity from Singapore to a number of destinations in Indonesia," said Sandiaga Uno.
Singapore's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan revealed that he had communicated effectively with the Indonesian Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy.
