Hasto Kristiyanto And All His Clarifications Because They Are Related To The Wahyu Setiawan Case

JAKARTA - Secretary General of the DPP PDI Perjuangan (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto feels he is part of the framing of issues in a number of mass media, related to the entanglement of KPK Commissioner Wahyu Setiawan in the KPK OTT some time ago.

He and PDI Perjungan completely left the process of handling this case to the KPK, without intervention.

"With this news, it shows that there are various interests involved in framing," said Hasto answering reporters on the sidelines of the PDIP I 2020 National Meeting in Kemayoran, Friday, January 10.

The example of framing in question is the name Doni, who is one of the people involved in this case. Doni is associated with Ramond Dony Adan who is Hasto's staff. Whereas Doni, who is caught in the case with Wahyu, is different from Doni, who is a staff of Hasto.

"I'm looking for a name named Doni. Now my staff is named Dony. That is an example of framing," said Hasto.

Another example is Hasto's framing attempt to hide on the campus of the Police Science College (PTIK) when the case was rolling.

In fact, he was there in order to focus on preparations for the National Working Meeting which was also the party's anniversary. He said, it took careful concentration and months of work to make the event a success.

"And you can see the results for yourself. You can see how this event shows the road to glory for Indonesia Raya," said Hasto.

Hasto also answered when asked by reporters about a lawsuit on behalf of Megawati and Hasto as the General Chairperson of the PDIP General Secretary to the Supreme Court regarding KPU regulations regarding inter-time changes (PAW). He was also asked about the existence of negotiation efforts with the KPU regarding the late PAW process. Nazarudin Kiemas.

Hasto said, his party did not carry out a negotiation process at all because the law regarding PAW was regulated based on the terms of vote acquisition.

He added that PDIP had had similar experiences when applying for PAW on behalf of the late. Director Ginting and it was done in accordance with the provisions of the law. Because without legal construction, PAW cannot be carried out.

"If we see on January 7, the KPU has issued a letter stating that what was decided and proposed by the PDI Perjuangan was not accepted by the KPU, so why then do these (negotiation) efforts?" said Hasto.

However, as a political party that has won the election twice in a row and has experienced several tests, cadres like him were taught by Megawati Soekarnoputri to do politics with principles. The principle referred to is Satyam Eva Jayate, which means that in the end the truth will prevail.

Hasto added, Megawati's message in her speech at the National Working Meeting, always emphasized that party cadres must be disciplined in obeying party regulations.

"It is part of a party discipline. As party cadres, party members must obey all party regulations and the party constitution, without exception," said Hasto.
