The Porserosi Of Roller Skating Problems Passes On Gatsu Street: National Championship Preparation, Practice Grounds Still Close

JAKARTA - The chairman of the All-Indonesian Roller Skate Association (Porserosi) DKI Jakarta Province Muhammad Sal clarified about the group of roller skates passing in the middle of Jalan Jenderal Gatot Subroto.

The man who is familiarly called Ical explained that the twelve roller skates were Porserosi athletes. These athletes are apparently preparing for the national championship or the National Women's Cup (PIN) which is planned to be held in July and the implementation of the Asian Games.

"Why on the highway? Athletes do physical and ability tests. Apart from having PIN, these athletes also have time to prepare for national training or national training for the Asian Games in Vietnam 2022," Ical said in his statement, Monday, May 9.

Meanwhile, the athlete's training ground at the Jakarta International Roller Track Arena (JIRTA) Sunter, North Jakarta is still closed due to the Lebaran holiday and only opened today.

"This is just the end of the Lebaran holiday and athletes must maintain their physical and mental stamina so they don't slack," he said.

However, Ical realized that the actions of his athletes endangered the safety of road use. Therefore, he apologized to all parties.

"Once again, I apologize to all parties. So they are not valiant on the highway but to stimulate physicality," he said. on Twitter social media.

The video received various criticisms from netizens because it was considered a danger to other road users.

The Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Endra Zulpan emphasized that this activity should not be carried out in the middle of the road because it is not a recommended track for rollerblading.

"Of course it will disturb other road users, besides that it is dangerous for the safety of the roller skaters," Zulpan told reporters.

In the near future, the Polda Metro Jaya will control the roller skates that return to the road. The action that will be carried out by the Polda Metro Jaya regarding the viral group of people using roller skates will certainly be carried out in a persuasive manner.

"We put forward persuasive action in the form of a warning," he said.
