Old Guru Haul, Central Sulawesi Governor Rusdy Mastura Donates 10 Cows

PALU - Central Sulawesi Governor Rusdy Mastura donated 10 cows for the 54th Haul event of the Founder of Alkhairaat Habib Sayyid Idrus Bin Salim Aljufri (Old Teacher).

"Yes, Central Sulawesi Governor Rusdy Mastura donated 10 cows for Haul Guru Tua," said Central Sulawesi Governor M Ridha Saleh, in Palu, as reported by Antara, Friday, May 6.

The Governor of Central Sulawesi Rusdy Mastura gave full attention to the existence and development of Alkhairaat education.

In fact, he said, the Governor of Central Sulawesi, Rusdy Mastura, supported Guru Tua being proposed to the central government to be designated a national hero.

"The steps towards achieving the title of national hero for the late Sayyid Idrus Bin Salim Aljufri have been very feasible," he said.

The Palu City Government has provided recommendations for support related to the proposal to the central government so that Old Teachers are designated as national heroes.

In this regard, the Old Teacher's 54th Haul Committee, Sofyan Bachmid confirmed that the Governor of Central Sulawesi contributed 10 cows.

Sofyan said, in addition to the Central Sulawesi Provincial Government, the Palu City Government provided assistance for the smooth operation of the 54 Old Teachers' Haul.

"The Palu City Government provides assistance with a sound system, tents, and consumptive needs in the implementation of the Old Guru Haul," he said.

Habib Sayyid Idrus bin Salim Aljufri (Old Teacher), a great scholar who donated his life journey for the benefit of the future of nation building in the field of education and Islamic da'wah in the country.

On 14 Muharram 1349 Hijriah or June 30, 1930 AD, the Alkhairaat Madrasa was opened which was founded by Guru Tua. The inauguration was attended by representatives of the Dutch Government, King Palu Djanggola, religious leaders, community leaders, and the people around Palu City. Alkhairaat's struggle began in 1928.

The 54th Haul for Old Teachers will be held on Saturday (14/5) at the Alkhairaat Complex on Jalan Sis Aljufri, Palu City.
