Coordinating Minister Airlangga emphasized that the government gave freedom to workers to try and maintain their survival in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. One of them ensures the disbursement of THR this year.
The General Chairperson of the Golkar Party hopes that workers will be able to enjoy THR on Eid al-Fitr.
"If there are workers who have not received THR, please report to the THR Command Post created by the Ministry of Manpower. The government will follow up on this complaint", he said.
On May Day this year, the Chairperson of the Committee for the Handling of COVID-19 and the National Economic Recovery apologized if Indonesia's condition had not been completely free from the COVID-19 pandemic. Airlangga admitted that national employment conditions had begun to recover with the unemployment rate dropping from 7.07 percent (August 2020) to 6.49 percent (August 2021).
In addition, data shows that the decline in unemployment was supported by increased employment during 2021 which reached 2.59 million new jobs.
