Traffic Jams, The Police Urge Travelers Not To Stop At The Roadside

JAKARTA - The National Police urges travelers not to stop at the edge of toll roads because it can cause congestion.

"Drivers are asked not to stop at the shoulder of the road," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, Thursday, April 28.

Instead of stopping at the shoulder of the road, travelers are asked to rest in the rest area that has been provided.

"We urge people who will be traveling back and forth to ensure their physical condition, of course the health of the driver, then the condition of the vehicle (tyres, brakes, etc.)," said Ramadhan.

Then, travelers are also asked to obey the existing rules. Including, directives from the police in the field.

"Of course the appeal must be obedient to traffic according to the instructions of officers in the field," said Ramadhan.

For information, the even-odd scheme on toll roads has been implemented. This scheme starts to be implemented from 17.00 to 24.00 WIB.
