JAKARTA - Social media activist Yusuf Muhammad responded to a viral video showing TNI (Indonesian National Armed) officials lined up to shake hands and salute PT Pertamina (Persero) Commissioner, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama alias Ahok.
In the video, Ahok, who is wearing a green striped shirt, also gets a soldier's salute. However, the circulating narrative cornered TNI officials who were with Ahok at that time.
"From the attitude of the body to Ahok, this can be proof that @Puspen_TNI's have become Chinese lackeys", wrote @RestyCaayah, one of the accounts that spread the video in the post, Monday, April 25.
Yusuf assessed that those who distributed the 44-second video had been uncivilized. According to him, their mindset is not from the advanced civilization of Indonesia.
"The pride of the nation and the state has been trampled on by the scum of civilization", he said.
Disagreeing with the narration in the video, Yusuf also poked at the Twitter accounts of the TNI Information Center @Puspen_TNI and the Directorate of Cyber Crimes, National Police-Criminal Investigation Agency @CCICPolri.
Yusuf seemed to ask law enforcement officials to act decisively against the misleading video.
