The Ministry Of Social Affairs And Commission VIII Of The Indonesian House Of Representatives Handover Aid Of IDR 25.5 Billion In Balikpapan

BALIKPAPAN - The Ministry of Social Affairs together with 11 members of Commission VIII of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) carried out a working visit during the IV session recess to Balikpapan while handing over aid of IDR 25.5 billion.

"We want to see for ourselves the distribution of various social aids and hear directly the aspirations of the residents," said Deputy Chairman of Commission VIII Tb Ace Hasan Syadzily at Balikpapan City Hall, Tuesday, April 19.

On that occasion, a total of IDR 25.5 billion was handed over to Balikpapan City. The assistance was divided into 12.065 Beneficiary Families (KPM) of the Family Hope Program (PKH) amounting to IDR 9.068 billion; for 63.215 KPM Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) allotted IDR 12.643 billion, and for 36.555 KPM direct cash assistance (BLT) cooking oil was handed over IDR 3.655 billion.

The group also handed over disaster preparedness assistance and Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) and saw firsthand the process of disbursing the Regular Social Assistance (PKH and BPNT) and cooking oil BLT. .493.125.000; 573.475 KPM BPNT with a value of IDR 114.695 million; 337.110 KPM BLT Cooking Oil with a value of IDR 33.771 million. The Regional Government also received Regular Rice Assistance for Natural Disaster Management for East Kalimantan as much as 20.000 kg with a value of IDR 215.380.000.

The Ministry of Social Affairs together with Commission VIII of the DPR also symbolically handed over ATENSI entrepreneurship assistance, for the elderly, disabled, and orphans to 586 KPM in East Kalimantan Province with a value of IDR 640.595.270.

"The total aid distributed in East Kalimantan Province is IDR 242.755.100.270," said Ace. The assistance distributed was a contribution from the Kartini Temanggung Center and the Prof Dr. Suharso Integrated Center Surakarta.

On that occasion, a dialogue was also held with the Regional Government and other parties to discuss the supervision of the distribution of social assistance, women's empowerment and child protection, as well as disaster preparedness.
