BANDUNG - Students participating in the April 11 demonstration began to crowd the Gedung Sate area, Jalan Diponegoro, Bandung City, West Java. To prevent overcrowding, the police conduct traffic engineering in the area. Bandung Police Chief Kombes Pol Aswin Sipayung said apart from Jalan Diponegoro, other roads remained normal as usual. The public is advised to avoid the Gedung Sate area. "We are diverting the traffic flow at the West Java DPRD Building so that students are more comfortable expressing their aspirations and not disturbing traffic flow," Aswin said in Bandung, Monday, April 11, as reported by Antara. As for a thousand more students from various universities in Bandung at 14.30 WIB began to arrive from various directions towards the front of Gedung Sate.

The students who gathered at Gedung Sate came from the Bandung Institute of Technology Campus, the Indonesian Education University, the National Institute of Technology, and a number of other universities. Aswin appealed to the masses to express their aspirations in an orderly manner in order to avoid disturbing public security and order. He ensured that the police would act humanely in securing student demonstrations.
