SOLO - The Manpower Office (Disnaker) of Surakarta City, Central Java, will immediately prepare a holiday allowance post (THR) to anticipate disputes between companies and employees.

Head of the Surakarta City Manpower Office, Widyastuti Pratiwiningsih, said the THR post would be open from D-7 to D+7 of Eid. The command post will facilitate workers and companies who still do not agree on the issue of the THR given.

"To protect workers' rights, we have prepared a THR post. According to the rules, THR must be paid starting on the 7th of Eid," she said in Solo, Antara, Monday, April 11.

According to her, every year there are at least tens of cases related to THR. However, these problems can always be resolved by agreement by both parties.

Especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, he said, the problem that often occurred was that companies had to pay THR in installments due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

She estimates that this year's problem will not be much different from last year's. However, the number is expected to decrease.

Regarding the rules for providing THR for employees, until now his party is still waiting for the latest Circular (SE) of the Minister of Manpower regarding THR. "We are still waiting for the latest SE regarding the provision of THR, if for now, it is still using the old rules," she said.

Some of these regulations include THR payments of one time the amount of salary and are given to workers with a minimum working period of one year.

Previously, the Mayor of Solo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, asked all companies to orderly pay THR for employees. In this regard, it will carry out strict supervision.

"We provide strict supervision to companies that often have problems (related to THR)," she said.
