Related Police Chief Inspected By Propam On The Swimming Party Case At Hairos Waterpark

JAKARTA - Propam Polrestabes Medan, North Sumatra has investigated a number of police regarding a pool party at Hairos Waterpark, located in Pancur Batu District, Deli Serdang Regency.

Deputy Chief of Police of the Medan Police, AKBP Irsan Sinuhaji, said Friday that the investigation was carried out regarding the possible involvement of the local police in the pool party activity which was held some time ago.

He said Propam asked for information from the police chief to the picket officers on the day the incident occurred.

"So, all police chiefs, including their members, are currently taking their statements by the Police Propam," he said.

Previously, the police had named the General Manager of Hairos Waterpark with the initials ES as a suspect in violating the health protocol.

The suspect is subject to Article 93 Jo Article 9 paragraph 1 of Republic of Indonesia Law number 6 of 2018 concerning health quarantine Jo Regulation of the Minister of Health Number 107 Menkes / 382 of 2020 concerning public health protocols and facilities to prevent COVID-19 with the threat of a sentence of one year in prison or a fine 100 million.

The suspect's determination is in the aftermath of organizing a pool party by Hairos Waterpark which was held some time ago.

The event was attended by 2,800 people because the management did not impose restrictions on visitors.

From the results of the investigation, this activity also did not have a permit from the local COVID-19 task force.
