The Pekanbaru Immigration Detention Center is scheduled on Tuesday (29/3) to carry out the transfer of 21 refugees, with details of 2 refugee families from the Tasqya Pekanbaru Shelter, 1 refugee family from Wisma Orchid Pekanbaru.

Then 1 single refugee from Siak Resort Pekanbaru, and 2 single refugees from Wisma D'Cops Pekanbaru to a shelter under the supervision of the Jakarta Immigration Detention Center.

"In order for this transfer to run smoothly, close supervision is carried out by officers from the Pekanbaru Immigration Detention Center by ordering 4 escort officers from the Pekanbaru Immigration Detention Center and 2 officers from the Jakarta Immigration Detention Center," Jahari said.

The refugees will later be departed from the Sultan Syarif Kasim II International Airport in Pekanbaru using a Garuda Indonesia aircraft with flight code GA175 at 10.05 WIB to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Jakarta.

With the transfer of 21 people consisting of 7 refugees from Myanmar and 14 refugees from Afghanistan, the number of detainees and refugees under the supervision of the Pekanbaru Immigration Detention Center is 893 refugees.

The details of the refugees are 882 refugees facilitated by IOM (International Organization for Migration), 10 Immigrators (facilitated by the Pekanbaru Rudenim), 1 Independent Refugee (not facilitated by IOM).

There are no asylum seekers and Final Rejected Persons supervised by the Pekanbaru Rudenim.
