JAYAPURA - The Jayapura City Government (Pemkot) has reinstated the application of Face-to-face Learning (PTM) for Kindergarten (TK), Elementary (SD) and Junior High School (SMP) levels in the region as of April 1, 2022.
Jayapura Mayor Benhur Tomi Mano said the implementation of the 100 percent PTM was in line with the declining number of COVID-19 cases in the region.
"Based on data from the Jayapura City COVID-19 Task Force Team as of March 27, 2022, the number of cases recorded is 21 patients," said Benhur, who is familiarly called BTM in Jayapura, Antara, Monday, March 28.
According to BTM, if all patients recover in the future, Jayapura City will return to zero cases for COVID-19.
"The Education Quality Assurance Institute (LPMP) as a centralized isolation place for COVID-19 patients will also be closed, if all patients have recovered," he said.
He hopes that the quality of education in Jayapura City will be maintained in order to create a golden generation of Papuans, especially in the Jayapura area.
"I really care about education in Jayapura City, for that I ask that it must be maintained," he said again.
