BANYUWANGI - A student with the initials TN (19) from Tembokrejo Village, Muncar District, Banyuwangi, East Java, became a victim of violence.

He was almost stabbed by his girlfriend RI (24), a student from Dusun Kedungringin/Kedungringin Village. TN also reported this case to the Muncar Police Headquarters.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for Muncar Police, Iptu Putu Ardana, confirmed the reporting of the alleged abuse. He said the alleged abuse took place on Tuesday, March 22.

"Initially the victim came to the house of the alleged perpetrator. He came to ask for clarification regarding the relationship between the two," said Iptu Putu Ardana, Friday, March 25.

The house was empty at the time. The alleged perpetrator's parents were on a pilgrimage to Wali Songo.

The two lovebirds also had a long conversation about the continuation of their relationship. The result of the conversation was that the suspect chose to end his relationship with the victim.

"The victim did not accept the decision. The victim accused the perpetrator of having had another woman, resulting in an argument," said Iptu Putu Ardana.

Her lover chose silence and went to the bathroom. After leaving the bathroom, the perpetrator sat opposite the victim who was separated by a table.

The two of them discussed their relationship again. But the alleged perpetrator insisted on ending the relationship.

"Because the perpetrator remained in his position, the victim finally decided to say goodbye. At that time the perpetrator also stood up from his seat. The victim in front of the perpetrator stretched out his hand to shake hands. Suddenly the perpetrator took out a knife and wanted to stab it at the victim," he said.

The knife was deflected by the victim using both hands. Meanwhile, the perpetrator continued to try to push the knife he was holding towards the victim.

"The victim continued to hold it with both hands until it was injured and bleeding," he continued.

Then the victim let go of her hands and ran away from the perpetrator's house screaming for help.

The victim managed to survive after entering the shop. Residents and shop owners then help victims get treatment.
