KPK Summons Head Of DKI DPRD Regarding Alleged Corruption In Formula E

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summoned the chairman of the DKI Jakarta Regional Representative Council (DPRD), Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, for questioning regarding the alleged corruption in the administration of Formula E.

This is the second time this call has been made. Previously, the KPK had asked Prasetyo for information on the same case on February 8, 2022.

"This morning I met the summons of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) regarding the alleged corruption case in the implementation of Formula E," said Prasetyo as seen on his Instagram account, prasetyoedimarsudi, Tuesday, March 22.

Prasetyo admitted that he as a citizen and leader of the DKI Jakarta Provincial DPRD is ready to provide any information related to the case in this electric car racing event.

"Hopefully the information I have can help investigators and make light of the problem of Formula E in Jakarta," said Prasetyo.

Previously, after giving the first information to the KPK in early February, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi said that there was a request for funds to Bank DKI before the Formula E financing regulation was ratified.

"So there is a budget that before it became a regional regulation on the Regional Budget, it had been loaned to Bank DKI worth IDR 180 billion," Prasetyo told reporters, Tuesday, February 8.

The request, continued Prasetyo, of course violated the rules. Because, this can only be done after the official legislation is made.

"In the legislation, after becoming a new Regional Budget, it can be done. This is not without our confirmation, he immediately does it himself," he said.

Furthermore, Prasetyo admitted that from the beginning he was not informed about the commitment fee. He said that instead of giving information, DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan paid the money directly. "I was not informed by the Governor and he made the first commitment fee," added the PDIP Party politician.
