JAKARTA - PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) continues to install and enforce rules for maintaining distance between passengers on the train even though the rules for the Implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) in DKI Jakarta have reached Level 2.

"PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) will continue to enforce the social distancing rules on trains while still putting up distance signs," said Corporate Secretary Division Head PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) Rendi Alhial as quoted by Antara, Thursday, March 10.

In addition to the rules for maintaining distance, MRT users are also prohibited from talking in one or two directions while on the train.

Rendi explained, with the decline in the PPKM level in DKI Jakarta, MRT made changes to the operational time which took effect from Friday (11/3).

The MRT operational time policy is Monday-Friday (working days) from 05.00 to 21.30 western Indonesia time and Saturday-Sunday (weekends) or holidays from 06.00 to 21.30 western Indonesia time.

The departure time between trains is every 5 minutes on weekdays during rush hour 07.00-09.00 western Indonesia time and 17.00-19.00 western Indonesia time, while outside peak hours every 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, on weekends or holidays, the distance between trains is every 10 minutes (flat).

The capacity for the number of users is still limited to 65 people per train. MRT service users are also asked to scan a QR code through the PeduliLindungi application before entering the station area.
