JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo received a visit from the United Arab Emirates (PEA) Delegation at the Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java, Monday, to convey a special invitation from Prince Mohammed bin Zayed (MBZ).
Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan who accompanied the Head of State at the meeting stated that the delegations were coming to witness the signing of a trade agreement between Abu Dhabi and Indonesia which was planned to be held at the end of March 2022.
"For almost an hour, President Joko Widodo received Minister Suhail as Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed's Special Envoy, Abu Dhabi, to extend an invitation to the President to witness the signing of the trade agreement between Abu Dhabi and Indonesia at the end of this month", said Coordinating Minister Luhut in a written statement quoted by Antara, Monday, March 7.
The PEA delegates in attendance were PEA Energy and Infrastructure Minister Suhail Mohammed Al Mazroei, PEA Ambassador to Indonesia Abdulla Salem Obaid Salem Al Dhaheri, and Peng Xiao, Chief Executive Officer of Group 42 Ltd.
Coordinating Minister Luhut explained that the meeting also discussed the follow-up to investment between Indonesia and Abu Dhabi through the "Indonesian Investment Authority".
The President instructed Coordinating Minister Luhut to settle several matters related to the cooperation between the two countries.
