Gibran Says COVID-19 Recovery Rate In Solo Continues To Increase

SOLO - Surakarta Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka said the COVID-19 recovery rate in Solo City continued to increase following the intensive handling carried out by the local task force.

"The recovery rate has increased tremendously", he said, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, March 2.

Gibran hopes that the number of COVID-19 cases will quickly decline before April 2022.

"We don't want the numbers to rise again. We'll see in the next week, yes, if it continues to decline, it means the trend is declining", he said.

Meanwhile, data from the Surakarta City COVID-19 Handling Task Force shows that for the last three days the number of COVID-19 cases has continued to decline. If on February 27 the number of active cases was 4,277 cases, on February 28 there was a decrease to 4,094 cases.

This figure has again decreased to 3,969 active cases. Of the total active cases, 3,883 of them are self-isolating and 86 are undergoing treatment at the hospital.

"Most now OTG (people without symptoms) or very mild symptoms. However, we are still standing by, this is approaching Lebaran too", said Gibran.

Mentioned the rules related to the implementation of community activity restrictions (PPKM) level 3 since a week ago, he said, until now there has been no change.

However, his party still issued the Circular of the Mayor of Surakarta Number KS.00.23/805/2022 concerning the Enforcement of Restrictions on Level 3 Community Activities in the City of Surakarta.

"There are not many changes (from the Circular)", he said.
