Government Tackles Landslides In Beutong Ateuh Nagan Raya Aceh

ACEH - The central government through the National Road Implementation Center (BPJN) of the Ministry of Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) is now starting to handle road landslides in the protected forest area of Beutong District, Nagan Raya Regency, Aceh Province. Roads in this area have experienced landslides since last Sunday, February 2nd.

"Alhamdulillah, the roadside landslide has begun to be handled by partners," said Secretary of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Nagan Raya Regency Said Nazaruddin in Suka Makmue as reported by Antara, Tuesday, February 22.

According to him, road landslides ranged from 20 to 30 meters and were suspected to be caused by unstable soil structures that caused landslides on mountain cliffs.

Said Nazaruddin explained that the fast handling of landslides on the Aceh middle cross road was because the location was included in the road improvement project carried out by the National Road Implementation Center (BPJN) of Aceh Province.

The handling is so that road users who pass are not disturbed, including creating comfort for the community.

"We thank the government, because people's concerns have been resolved," he said.

Although repairs have begun, BPBD Nagan Raya appealed to the public to be careful because the road section is still in the repair stage.

"Indeed, the Mount Singgah Mata area is prone to landslides, we ask the public to always be vigilant, especially when it is hit by heavy rains," he said.
