Through PNS Of The Ministry Of Finance, The KPK Explores Alleged Communication Regarding The Proposal For The Regional Incentive Fund For Tabanan Regency

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) suspects that there has been communication regarding the administration of the Regional Incentive Fund (DID) for Tabanan Regency, Bali. The allegations were investigated by examining Civil Servants (PNS) of the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) on Wednesday, February 16 yesterday.

"The investigative team has examined a number of witnesses," said Acting Spokesperson for the KPK for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, in a written statement, Thursday, February 17.

Ali said the two civil servants from the Ministry of Finance who were summoned were the Section Head at the Regional Financial Data Sub-Directorate, Eko Nur Subagyo and the staff at the Head of Grant Allocation, Emergency Fund, and DID, Anton Widowanto. They were present and have been questioned by KPK investigators.

"Both of them were present and confirmed, among others, the process and stages of submitting the proposed DID fund and the alleged existence of several communications with several related parties regarding the proposed fund," he said.

Actually, the KPK will also examine the Executive Director of the Study Center, Prasetiyo and the Head of Sub-Directorate of Physical DAK II who is also a civil servant from the Ministry of Finance, Yudi Sapto Paranowo. However, both of them did not attend and asked for a rescheduling.

As previously reported, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has admitted that it is conducting an investigation related to alleged criminal acts related to the process of administering incentive funds in Tabanan Regency, Bali.

Investigators have even conducted searches in a number of locations such as the PUPR office, Bappelitbang, Tabanan Regional Finance Agency, DPRD, as well as the residences of parties related to the case.

Although it has admitted that it is investigating the alleged bribery, the Corruption Eradication Commission has not disclosed the suspects and the modus operandi. The complete information on the results of this investigation will be conveyed in its entirety if there is sufficient evidence and forced detention efforts are made.
