Bantul Red Zone COVID-19 Cases

BANTUL - Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region, is in the red zone or high risk related to COVID-19 cases, after two weeks ago it was still the orange zone or moderate risk.

This condition occurs following a significant increase in the number of infections in recent weeks.

"The calculation results are based on case data from February 1 to 14, 2022, Bantul Regency is in a high-risk zone (red zone)," said Bantul Regent Abdul Halim Muslih as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, February 16.

The risk zoning of the Bantul COVID-19 case is based on the calculation of the weight of the public health indicators consisting of epidemiology, health surveillance, and health services, in which each indicator is given a score and weighted and then added up.

"The results of these calculations can be used as a basis for all parties to carry out various activities or activities for the next 14 days, from 15 to 28 February 2022," he said.

Meanwhile, based on data from the Bantul COVID-19 Task Force, the addition of daily positive cases over the past week has averaged over a hundred people per day, thus adding to the list of patients who are isolated due to exposure to the coronavirus.

On Friday, February 11, 206 new cases were added, then Saturday (12/2) there were 350 new cases, on Sunday (13/2) 184 new cases were added, then Monday (14/2) 201 new cases were added, Tuesday (15/2) there were 319 new cases, while on Wednesday (16/2) 394 people were added.

However, the addition of confirmed cases is accompanied by confirmed cases of COVID-19 who have recovered, but the number is smaller than the new cases, as on Wednesday, 24 patients who recovered were recorded.

The total number of positive COVID-19 cases in Bantul since the beginning of the pandemic until today has accumulated as many as 59,717 people, with a recovery rate of 56,101 people, while the total number of deaths recorded is 1,578 people.

Thus, the number of active COVID-19 cases or patients who are still infected and undergoing self-isolation or quarantine in the Bantul shelter for the healing process is recorded at 2,038 people.
