JAKARTA - Rio Alfaro (25) was arrested by members of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Sawah Besar Sector Police. Rio is involved in the theft of electronic goods. Even Rio's action had gone viral on social media.

"This perpetrator is very disturbing, especially for residents of Karang Anyar, Sawah Besar District. These perpetrators are quite skilled in carrying out their actions," said Sawah Besar Police Chief Kompol Maulana Mukarom to VOI, Wednesday 2 February.

The police chief confirmed that the perpetrator was a specialist in stealing electronic goods such as cellphones, laptops and others. From his identity, the perpetrator is listed as a resident of Cempaka Baru, Kemayoran District, Central Jakarta. In every action, the perpetrators always target people's houses, boarding houses or rented houses.

"Perpetrators usually carry out the action together. Rio Alfaro is the executioner of stealing and CRL (Rio's friend) is conducting reconnaissance at the location. Currently CRL is still being hunted," he said.

Rio was arrested at his home after successfully carrying out a burglary at a resident's house on Jalan G, No. 04 RT 02/07, Karang Anyar Village, Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta. The theft was also caught on CCTV cameras.

"Departing from the recording, the officers immediately gave chase. If the perpetrator confessed, the crime was often carried out in the Karang Anyar area, Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta," he said.

Meanwhile, from the confession of the perpetrator to the police, all the proceeds of his crime were immediately sold and divided in half by CRL.

From the hands of the perpetrators, the police confiscated 4 cellphones of various brands and a laptop that was stolen by the perpetrators. The perpetrators were charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code with a penalty of up to 5 years in prison.
