PAPUA - TNI soldiers from the Special Raider Battalion Task Force 114/SM led by Dantim 3 Pos Grimbun Sertu Siswanto built a traditional honai house for residents of Silan Village, Dal District, Nduga Regency, Papua, Sunday, January 23 yesterday.

The Commander of the Pos (Danpos) Grinbun Task Force Battalion RK 114/SM, Lt. Inf Zeswanto said the honai made belonged to one of the original residents of Silan Village, Dal Mes Poknniangge District.

This is a manifestation of the TNI Task Force's concern for the inmates who do not have a proper place to live or honai.

"Armed with sincerity and sincerity as well as awareness of the meaning of our presence in Papua. TNI soldiers are the people's army and are always there to help the people wherever they are," said Zeswanto in his statement in Nduga as quoted by Antara, Monday, January 24.

With the existing limitations, this does not become the end of the service of TNI soldiers in the Grinbun Pos Task Force Yonif RK 114/SM to do their best in helping and easing the burden on the people while in the assigned area.

He admitted, the portrait of togetherness between residents and TNI soldiers from the Grinbun Post in the process of making the honai illustrates the attitude of gotong royong still embedded in the culture and becomes a tradition of the Papuan people, especially the residents of Silan Village.

"Starting from the process of preparing wood, preparing straw, installing the honai framework, and installing thatched as a roof, everything is done together," he said.

Second Lieutenant Zeswanto admits that what the personnel of the Battalion Battalion RK 114/SM have done for the residents, even though it is not much, still feels proud to be able to do something useful for the people of Nduga Papua.

The resident who owns the honai, Mes Poknianngge, admitted that the honai made by TNI soldiers was perfect after working together. Mes said the presence of the TNI Yonif RK 114/SM Task Force was very helpful for residents in the mountains of Nduga Regency, Papua.

"I am very grateful to the children of the Grimbun post for wanting to help make honai, I am very happy... Praise God, God returns the kindness of the children," said the owner of the honai, Mes Poknianngge.
