Deputy Minister Of SOEs: 1.3 Million Vehicles Leave Jabodetabek Area

Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (Wamen BUMN) Aminuddin Ma'ruf stated that as many as 1.3 million vehicles left the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) areas.

The statement was made after reviewing the toll road operation control center at the Jasa Marga Toll Road Command Center Office, Jatiasih, Bekasi City, West Java.

"From the 18th (December) of the start of alertness in the context of Christmas and New Year until today at 06.00 am there have been around 1.3 million vehicles leaving Jakarta for various directions," Aminuddin told reporters, Thursday, December 26.

The millions of vehicles are said to have moved to various areas through the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (GT), Kalihurip Utama GT, Cikupa GT, and Ciawi GT.

The number of vehicles leaving the Jabodetabek area is predicted to increase as the 2025 New Year celebrations get closer.

"Starting from the south to Ciawi, heading east to Trans Java and to Bandung then west to Merak, there are approximately 1.3 million," he said.

The number of vehicles, said Aminuddin, is still categorized as low when compared to the previous year. Therefore, the traffic flow on the toll roads traversed by the community is still fairly smooth.

"Accumulatively, this number has decreased compared to last year, because the number has decreased, the average speed and travel time have also improved," said Aminuddin.
