Offerings Kicker In Semeru Taken To Lumajang Police Detention

LUMAJANG - The perpetrators of kicking and throwing offerings with the initials HF at the location of the avalanche hot clouds (APG) of Mount Semeru arrived at the Lumajang Police Headquarters, East Java.

"Today, we have brought HF to the detention of Mako Lumajang from the East Java Police," said Lumajang Police Chief AKBP Eka Yekti Hananto Seno, quoted by Antara, Thursday, January 20.

HF, wearing orange prison clothes, got out of the white car and was immediately taken by officers to the General Crime Unit (Pidum) of the Satreskrim.

HF was previously at the East Java Police to undergo an examination at the General Criminal Investigation Directorate (Ditreskrimum).

"The suspect was brought to Lumajang to facilitate the investigation," he said.

The Lumajang Police Chief explained that the police had examined 8 witnesses and 4 expert witnesses in the case, namely expert witnesses on crime, sociology, language and ITE.

"The SPDP has been sent to the prosecutor's office, and we are trying to immediately transfer it to the prosecutor's office," he said.

Eka said the suspect who took the offerings was charged with Law 19 of 2016 Article 45 paragraph 2 junto Article 29 paragraph 2, as well as Article 156 subsidiary Article 14 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code which carries a maximum penalty of 6 years in prison.

Previously, HF, a man throwing offerings at the Mount Semeru APG location, was successfully secured by a joint team from the East Java Police and the Yogyakarta Police, on Thursday, January 13, at around 23.00 WIB.

This 32-year-old man was secured in Gang Dorowati, Pringgolayan, Banguntapan, Bantul.

HF kicked off offerings in the Mount Semeru disaster area, Lumajang. The action was later recorded on a video that went viral on social media.

The action that was carried out then received a response from the community who criticized the action. Especially the Hindu community who are attached to offerings, who reported the action to the East Java Police Headquarters, and GP Ansor Lumajang reported it to the Lumajang Police.
