OTT At The Surabaya District Court, 5 Netted People Taken To The KPK Building

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has arrested five people in a hand arrest operation (OTT) at the Surabaya District Court, East Java. They are currently being taken to the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.

"Currently, the person being investigated is still on his way to the KPK's Red and White Building for further investigation," said Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, to reporters, Thursday, January 20.

The five people who were brought were a Surabaya District Court Judge named Itong Isnaeni Hidayat, a substitute clerk, a lawyer, and the private sector.

Not only that, the team also brought hundreds of millions of rupiah found when the OTT was held on Wednesday, January 19 yesterday. However, the exact number is not detailed because it is still being calculated. Previously, the KPK made arrests related to the handling of cases at the Surabaya District Court. During the silent operation, the anti-corruption commission team arrested Judge Itong Isnaeni Hidayat, a clerk named Hamdan, and a lawyer.

After the enforcement activities were carried out, the parties involved in the OTT were immediately questioned. Furthermore, the KPK will announce the third legal status as well as the chronology of the alleged corruption that ensnared them.
