JAKARTA - SOE Minister Erick Thohir plans to collaborate with startups and young people with SOEs. So, he plans to present BUMN Day for start-up companies or startups.

"This is what we hope, why in about six months we plan to have a SOE Day for startups. So we try how the ecosystem in this BUMN or in the BUMN must also work together with startups and young people what we hope for," said Erick Thohir in the online discussion of Indonesia Digital Tribe 101 in Jakarta, Monday.

Erick Thohir said that the BUMN Day plan for this startup was different from the Red and White Fund Program.

"This is apart from the Merah Putih Fund. It's different again, if the Merah Putih Fund is clear where we invest in startups whose founders are Indonesian, operating in Indonesia, and these startups must also be committed to growing by going public in Indonesia," he said. .

Furthermore, Erick Thohir said that from the beginning the challenges related to this were not easy, but now the momentum is there and Indonesia must take this opportunity and momentum.

Erick Thohir has said that he will build an ecosystem for startup players in Indonesia to open up bigger opportunities.

He said the development of an ecosystem for start-up actors is proof that the government is here to encourage the younger generation to create opportunities.

Evidence that the government is present for ecosystem development for startup actors in Indonesia, one of which is by launching the Red and White Fund Program which is an initiative from the Ministry of SOEs.

The Merah Putih Fund aims to accelerate local startups that have the potential to become unicorns. The provision of capital and business collaboration will be the focus of the program to generate synergies in various industrial sectors.
