Ancol Street Race Trek Trial, Sambodo Remembers When He Was Still In High School

JAKARTA - Traffic Director of Polda Metro Jaya Police Sr. Comr. Sambodo Purnomo Yogo tested the drag race track on Jalan Inspeksi Kali Ancol, using a 2-stroke motorbike with a 150cc cubication.

After checking the race track, Sambodo revealed that he remembered his school days.

"I remember when I was in high school. Thank God I've tried it, the track is quite safe. Then tomorrow we all pray, hopefully, something doesn't happen that we don't want," Sambodo told reporters, Saturday, January 15.

Although Sambodo lost quickly to Harnas who rode a 4-stroke motorcycle with a cubication of 1,000 cc, he still felt happy. According to Sambodo, this event is a forum for sharing hobbies for all communities who enjoy racing.

Sambodo said that 90 percent of the preparations had been completed, only the installation of the fence covers for the audience area, the installation of tents for the VIP area, and so on were just finished.

As for the crossing, continued Sambodo, the work is ready. The asphalt spots that are prone to bumpy (bumpy) have been patched. A number of tree branches that are expected to interfere with the driver's view have also been cut.

It is noted that the quota of 350 racers has been fulfilled to enliven the activities held on Sunday, January 16th. They are divided into several classes, starting from the 4-stroke automatic class, 2-stroke sport, Sunmori class, 2-stroke duck, 4-stroke duck, FFA class, 4-stroke sport, and even the Vespa class.
