Due To Tweeting "Your God Is Weak", Ferdinand Hutahaean Sentenced 10 Years In Prison

JAKARTA - Ferdinand Hutahaean has been named a suspect in a case of alleged hate speech with Ethnic, Religion, Race, and Intergroup (SARA) issue. In this case, Ferdinand Hutahaean was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

"The overall threat is 10 years," said Head of Public Information of the Public Relations Division of the Police Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan to reporters, Tuesday, January 11 in the morning.

The criminal threat was because Ferdinand Hutahaean was charged with multiple articles. Starting from criminal law articles to ITE (Electronic Information and Transaction).

"Article 14 paragraphs 1 and 2 of the criminal law regulation of Law Number 1 of 1946 later, article 45 paragraph (2) in conjunction with article 28 paragraph (2) of the ITE Law," said Ramadhan.

Meanwhile, Ferdinand Hutahaean has been named by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police as a suspect in the "Your God is weak" tweet. Ferdinand Hutahaean was immediately thrown into custody.

"After the case was carried out, Ditsiber investigators had obtained 2 pieces of evidence in accordance with Article 184 of the Criminal Procedure Code, thus raising the status of brother FH (Ferdinan Hutahaean) from witness to suspect," said Ramadhan.

Previously, Ferdinand Hutahaean met the summons of the Criminal Investigation Police investigator regarding the alleged blasphemy case. Finally, the Criminal Investigation Police investigator named Ferdinand Hutahaean as a suspect.
