Two Drug Couriers In Pamulang, One Of Whom Was Shot Dead By The Police, Transactions Through Car Windows

JAKARTA - The police said that the two couriers who were arrested in Pamulang, South Tangerang, transacted through car windows. This method is suspected to make transactions run fast and unreadable by the police.

"There was a handover of methamphetamine through a window, which is suspected to be 1 kilogram of methamphetamine", said Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes E. Zulpan, to reporters on Monday, January 10.

The method of the two couriers with the initials UA and HM was revealed after the police monitored their movements undercover. In addition, they also put the methamphetamine in a teabag.

"Then the modus operandi in drug trafficking is drug camouflage into Chinese tea packets", said Zulpan.

The drug courier's actions were finally revealed. Three kilograms of methamphetamine were recovered from their car.

"In the Honda Jazz car, three green plastic bags of methamphetamine were found, which were packed with tea. So a total of 4 kilograms", he said.

After being arrested and questioned, the suspect UA admitted that he was only a courier from the Aceh-Jakarta network. He gets a salary of IDR 10 million for each narcotic delivery.

"Every time they receive drugs, the suspects receive a reward of IDR 10 million. The methamphetamine will be circulated to Tangerang, DKI and Bogor", said Zulpan.

Police previously arrested two drug couriers in Pamulang, South Tangerang, on January 4. One of the suspects was shot and killed.

Officers were forced to shoot one suspect because they were deemed to have endangered the community. The suspect was driving on a busy road recklessly.
