PDIP Still Strong In Indicator Surveys, Gerindra-Golkar Is Tight, Perindo Is The Smallest

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Political Indicators Survey Institute released a poll on the electability of political parties in the legislative elections.

Respondents were asked if the election for members of the DPR RI was held at this time, the party with the highest electability was PDIP with 26.4 percent electability.

Looking at the trend of party choice, PDIP is always at the top. Then, the second and third places were followed by the Gerindra Party and Golkar with a fairly tight margin.

"PDIP is still in first place. Gerindra is in second place and then Golkar, the difference is not significant, 11 and 10 percent respectively," said Executive Director of Indicators Burhanuddin Muhtadi in a virtual press conference, Sunday, January 9.

Then the fourth position was occupied by Democrats with 8.7 percent electability, PKB 6.8 percent, PKS 5.3 percent, Nasdem 4 percent, PPP 4 percent, PAN 2.5 percent, Perindo 2 percent.

"Other parties have less than 1 percent and around 16 percent of respondents have not been able to show their choice of party," said Burhanuddin.

It is known that this survey was conducted in the period from 16 to 11 December 2021 to respondents of Indonesian citizens who were 17 years old or older, or were already married when the survey was conducted.

The survey was conducted through face-to-face interviews with 1,220 randomly selected respondents. The margin of error for this survey is estimated at around 2.9 percent and the survey confidence level is 95 percent.
