Police Explain, Perpetrator Of Abuse Of 15-Year-Old Teenagers To Death In West Cikarang, Intending To Go Around Looking For Opponents

JAKARTA - Two perpetrators of the murder of a teenager with the initials BR (15) which occurred on Jalan Fatahilah RT 07/13, Kalijaya Village, Cikarang Barat Subdistrict, Bekasi Regency, West Java, Tuesday, January 4, were arrested by the West Cikarang Sector Police officers.

"We have arrested the two murderers who are also teenagers, YH (15) and AM (15) at this time," said West Cikarang Police Chief, Commissioner of Police Teddy Hartanto, in Cikarang, Thursday, January 6.

Teddy explained, the two suspects abused using sharp weapons aimed at the victim, causing the victim to die.

"Initially, the two perpetrators intended to fight on a motorbike. AM was driving the motorbike and YH was carrying a sickle," he said.

They then went around looking for a brawl opponent until they ran into the victim, and for no apparent reason, YH pointed at the victim who was currently gathering with his friends.

AM then reversed the direction of the motorcycle's steering wheel until it approached the victim. After that, YH immediately slashed towards the victim's left-back.

After slashing the victim, the two perpetrators immediately fled, while the victim was taken to the hospital by residents but he was declared dead at 23.30 western Indonesia time.

"After that, we immediately carried out a series of investigative activities by taking witness statements, visiting the location of the crime scene, also taking the body to the Kramat Jati Police Hospital," he also said.

Not long after, said Teddy, officers arrested the two and secured evidence in the form of a yellow, red, and black sweater jacket, a black t-shirt, and a cream-colored short.

"Meanwhile, evidence in the form of a sharp weapon was dumped by the suspect into the CBL River with the intention of eliminating traces," he said again.

The two suspects are subject to Article 351 of the Criminal Code paragraph 3 concerning persecution to cause death with a maximum sentence of seven years in prison.
