In connection with this statement, JAS made a clarification. In his statement on behalf of the Amir of Jamaah Ansharusy Syariah, Moch Achman, the following clarification was received by the editor.

That what the Head of BNPT Mr. Boy Rafli Amar said was an unfounded statement and was not built on true facts and data. Until now, JAS has never received BNPT to come for dialogue and or conduct research on the thoughts or movements carried out by JAS, however, Mr. Boy Rafli Amar unilaterally accused JAS of being a terrorist group. JAS considers that this statement is only based on unilateral stigmatization or bad thoughts about JAS as a community organization guaranteed by law and has been playing an active role in helping the state to advance the Indonesian people. JAS asserts that JAS is not a terrorist organization and JAS also refuses to be categorized as a terrorist organization, because JAS rejects all forms of terrorism, whether perpetrated by individuals, groups or even terrorism perpetrated by any country in the world. For JAS, terrorism is an act that is prohibited by religion and state law. JAS's rationale can be read and understood through JAS's AD/ART and that JAS does not have the slightest amount of terrorist activity or which can be categorized as a form of terrorism movement. All JAS programs and activities are far from elements of acts that use violence or threats of violence that create an atmosphere of terror or widespread fear, which can cause mass casualties, and or cause damage or destruction to strategic vital objects, the environment, public facilities. , or international facilities with ideological, political, or security disturbance motives as defined by the Anti-terrorism Act in our country. JAS actually plays an active role in assisting and collaborating with the state in overcoming problems in society, assisting the state in overcoming the impact of disasters in various regions in Indonesia. JAS is actively involved in providing education and educating the community. JAS also plays an active role in efforts to defend the rights of the oppressed community, JAS also plays an active role in providing scholarship assistance to underprivileged communities. All of these activities can be viewed openly on various media and on the official JAS website. So far, JAS has also played an active role in assisting the state in its efforts to combat extremism and leading to terrorism, by providing enlightenment and understanding of straight Islam and Rahmatan lil Alamin. All of this was attempted by JAS without burdening the state's money in the slightest. JAS moved voluntarily from the self-awareness of its members of the obligation to advise fellow Muslims and compatriots so as not to fall into erroneous and extreme understandings that lead to violence and terrorism. An inaccurate assessment in the category of terrorism groups can be counter-productive to counter terrorism and sow divisions in society and create hatred among the nation's children. On the basis of the matters mentioned above, JAS will endeavor to have a dialogue and communicate with BNPT in order to clarify any misunderstandings.
