Bobby Nasution, Gubsu Edy And The North Sumatran Regional Police Chief-Pangdam I/BB Release New Year's Eve Patrol

MEDAN - The North Sumatra Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) held a patrol to ensure security on New Year's Eve 2022.

The patrols were led by the North Sumatran Police Chief Inspector General Panca Putra Simanjuntak, I/BB Military Commander, Major General Hassanudin, and Medan Mayor, Bobby Nasution. North Sumatra Governor Edy Rahmayadi was also present at the release of patrol personnel at Makodim 0201 Medan, quoted by Antara on Friday, December 31.

Gubsu Edy appealed to the public to celebrate the New Year's Eve 2022 at home to prevent an increase in COVID-19 cases.

"Stay at home and pray that 2022 will be better than 2021", he said, quoted by Antara.

Governor Edy ensured that the security and public order situation in the North Sumatra region remained conducive on the celebration of New Year's Eve 2022.

Meanwhile, North Sumatra Police Chief, Inspector General Panca Putra, said the joint team patrols were an effort to provide a sense of security and comfort to the community.

Patrols are carried out simultaneously by joint officers in all districts and cities in North Sumatra.

To suppress the movement of residents on New Year's Eve 2022, officers closed 110 road points in Medan City from 19.00 WIB to 06.00 WIB.

"Today we are strengthening security by doing insulation. We urge the public to spend New Year's Eve 2022 together at home and not to gather in crowds", he said.
