JAKARTA - The Jambi City Fire and Rescue Team (Damkartan) rescued a young man who was hit by a fallen palm tree in the Putri River, Telanaipura, Monday.

Head of the Jambi City Fire Department Mustari Afgrady in Jambi, Monday, said that the victim, known as M Farhan (23) at that time was riding a motorcycle when the palm oil tree fell and hit him.

The Damkar team led by Danton 1 Mako with seven personnel immediately evacuated using the rescue fleet and Panther after receiving the report.

In the rescue process, the team had to cut off parts of the palm oil tree that hit the victim in order to safely remove it. Even though it was raining heavily, evacuation efforts were carried out quickly.

"The victim was successfully evacuated safely and immediately taken to the Kambang Hospital for medical treatment," Mustari said, quoted by Antara.

Based on medical recommendations, the victim was then referred to the DKT Hospital for further treatment. In addition, the victim's vehicle was also secured at the home of a nearby resident.

Mustari added that the evacuation process went smoothly after ensuring the victim's condition was stable.

He also emphasized that the Jambi City Fire Department service prioritized the 5T principle, namely planned, measurable, directed, served, and completed.

This rescue, said Mustari, is proof of the commitment of the Jambi City Damkar Team in providing fast and responsive services in emergency situations.
