15 Houses In Malang Slightly Damaged By The Tornado

MALANG - As many as 15 houses in Krajan Lor Hamlet, Klampok Village, Singosari District, Malang Regency were reported to have been damaged by a tornado.

The Head of Emergency Logistics for Malang Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Sadono Irawan, said that heavy rain accompanied by strong winds caused 15 houses to be lightly damaged. The fifteen damaged houses are in RW 3, in RT 1 to RT 3.

"Due to this hurricane, 15 houses of residents there were lightly damaged. There were no fatalities", said Sadono, Friday, December 31.

Even so, there were no residents who evacuated because the roofs of damaged houses were on the front. It was reported that 1 house was damaged in the middle of the roof.

"No one has fled", he said.

After the incident, the officers immediately assisted in cleaning materials and installing temporary tarpaulins for the safety of residents from rainwater. Officers also sent food packages assistance.

"The total loss is still being calculated. Meanwhile, we are helping with temporary handling in the form of installing tarpaulins and food packages", he concluded.
