Indonesia Ranks 23rd In The World For The Distribution Of COVID-19 Cases

JAKARTA - Statistical data from Johns Hopkins University Medicine records that Indonesia ranks 23 cases of the spread of COVID-19 globally from 188 countries that have been exposed to the virus.

Reported by Antara, Monday, August 24, based on the official website of Johns Hopkins University Medicine, Sunday, 23 August at 23.27 local time, there were 153,535 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Indonesia.

This figure also accounts for 0.66 percent of the total cases globally, which reached 23,260,775 positive COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the death rate in the country reaches 6,680 people, or 0.82 percent of the global death rate, which is 805,765 people.

With this number of deaths, Indonesia ranks 19th in the largest number of countries exposed to the corona virus or COVID-19.

Meanwhile, for the number of recovered COVID-19 patients, Indonesia is listed as 23rd in the world with a total of 107,500 people. This is equivalent to 0.71 percent of the global recovery rate, namely 14,975,529 people.

In general, Johns Hopkins University Medicine noted that the United States is the country with the most positive cases in the world, namely 5,678,249 cases.

Then followed by Brazil with the number of positive cases of COVID-19, namely 3,582,362, followed by India with 3,044,940 cases, Russia with 954,328 cases and South Africa with 607,045 cases.
