Metro Jaya Police Doesn't Ban The AFF Finals For The Indonesian National Team Vs. Thailand, But There Are Conditions

JAKARTA - Metro Jaya Police did not forbid cafes and restaurants to hold watching together (Nobar) the final match of the AFF Cup between the Indonesian national team against Thailand. The condition must still be to comply with health protocols.

"Relationships during the AFF final, for example in cafes, must comply with the provisions", said the Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes E. Zulpan, to reporters, Monday, December 27.

One of the rules that must be obeyed by cafe and restaurant managers is that the number of guests is only 50 percent of the capacity of the place. In addition, the use of masks is mandatory.

"First, the capacity provisions must comply with the DKI Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) rules of 50 percent of the maximum capacity", said Zulpan.

Cafes or restaurants hosting the AFF Cup finals must use the PeduliLindungi application. The goal is that guests who attend can be monitored to have undergone vaccination.

However, if there is a violation of the health protocols, Zulpan continued, the DKI Provincial Government will impose sanctions. For example, reprimands to the closing of these cafes and restaurants.

"If it is more than 50 percent, we will impose sanctions according to applicable regulations", said Zulpan

For information, the final match of the AFF Cup will be held twice at the Singapore National Stadium. The first match will be played on Wednesday, 29 February 2021, and the second on Saturday, January 1, 2022.
