Entering The End Of The Year, Social Minister Risma Asks Local Government To Accelerate Disbursement Of Social Assistance

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini asked the regional government and the Association of State-Owned Banks (Himbara) to accelerate the disbursement of social assistance (Bansos) considering that it is already the end of 2021.

"I ask for the search to be accelerated. It is the end of the year. Next Monday I ask that everything be completed. There are no beneficiaries who have not disbursed their aid," said Risma in a written statement from the Ministry of Social Affairs received in Jakarta, Sunday, December 26.

Risma said that the accelerated disbursement of the social assistance could be given to beneficiaries in the form of cash if the assistance provided was in the form of non-cash food assistance (BPNT) or basic food programs.

Then related to the existence of KPMs that have not received social assistance, he explained that this was due to the expansion of the PKH program or BPN/Sembako Program so that some parties did not get complete information.

Therefore, Risma asked PKH and BPNT assistants to search for residents who have not received the social assistance, so that before December 31, 2021, there will be no one who has not received the assistance.

In addition to sweeping, her party also carries out monitoring and evaluation activities (Monev) for the Acceleration of Distribution of Family Hope Program PSCs (PKH) and BPNT/Sembako Program so that the distribution does not pass December 31, 2021.

The distribution of social assistance will also be monitored by Law Enforcement Officials (APH) in 514 regencies/cities throughout Indonesia, involving the Indonesian Attorney General's Office and the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police Headquarters to ensure that it is timely, accurate, and on target.

On that occasion, Risma emphasized that the recipients of the social assistance were expected not to use the assistance they had received to buy unsuitable necessities such as cigarettes.

"It must be used according to the needs and conditions. It is not allowed to buy cigarettes or inappropriate needs," she said.
