Viral Car Driver Beating Man In Medan Minimarket Parking Is Tracked, Being Hunted By Police

MEDAN - The case of abuse by a car driver against a motorbike rider in the Medan City minimarket parking which is viral on social media is still being investigated.

The perpetrator has the initials HSM. While the victim is still sitting in the third grade of high school.

Acting Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for Medan Polrestabes Kompol Muhammad Firdaus, said the victim had made a report. Police are now looking for the culprit.

"The suspect is still being pursued," said Kompol Firdaus, Friday, December 24.

Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations of the North Sumatra Police, Kombes Hadi Wahyudi, said his party hoped the perpetrators would immediately surrender.

"We urge you to immediately surrender yourself to speed up the investigation process," said Kombes Hadi.

Kombes Hadi said that his party was still looking for the perpetrators. In addition, they have collected a number of evidence and witness statements

"Currently, it is in the process of being investigated," he explained.

It was previously reported that the action of a car driver hitting a teenager was caught on CCTV and the footage was widely circulated. The incident is said to have occurred in a mini market located on Jalan Pintu Air IV, Medan Johor District, Medan City.

Shortly after, a man who was thought to be in his teens was seen leaving the mini market wearing a skullcap and a shirt. The teenager was seen talking to the man driving the car.

Based on the information, the teenager asked the car owner to shift his car. At that time the male driver slapped the teenager.

The victim did not resist. Instead the man threw a kick at him and hit him back.

The commotion was immediately dispersed by local residents. The car driver immediately left the convenience store.
