The Body Of KKB Member Temianus Magayang Was Evacuated To Dekai

JAYAPURA - The body of KKB member Temianus alias Demianus Magayang (25 years old) who died while being treated at Bhayangkara Hospital, Jayapura, was evacuated to Dekai, the capital of Yahukimo Regency, Papua, to be buried in his hometown.

Chief of Police Yahukimo, AKBP Denny Hendriana, said Temianus Magayang died Wednesday, December 22 due to complications from his illness.

Magayang, who was one of the masterminds of several violent acts that killed civilians and members of the TNI, was arrested last November 27 on Gunung Dekai Street and was carrying a homemade firearm.

There was resistance, so members were forced to shoot measuredly, said Denny Hendriana, adding that there were 12 cases involving him, including the murder of KPU (General Election Commissions) staff, Yahukimo Hendry Jovinski in 2020.

In addition, Magayang was also reported to have been involved in several violent acts that killed two members of the TNI from the Airborne Infantry Battalion 432 and confiscated two firearms that they had brought with them.

"Currently, Magayang's body has been handed over to the family for burial", said AKBP Denny Hendriana, quoted by Antara, Thursday, December 23.

When asked about the security and security situation in Dekai, the Head of the Resort Police admitted that it was relatively safe and conducive but members remained on alert.
