MEDAN - The joint Search and Rescue (SAR) team has stopped searching operations for victims of a minibus accident that fell into a ravine in Sitellu Tali Urang Jahe District, Pakpak Bharat Regency, North Sumatra.

Public Relations of the Medan SAR Office, Sariman Sitorus, said that two of the seven victims in the accident had not been found.

"The victims who have not been found are Masdi and Sudarseh," he said, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, December 22.

The victims who were found were Khairumi (22), Arman Yusuf (51), Fitri Elfirati (26) and Tata Agusnianti (22) and Muhammad Amri Lubis (30).

Sariman said the search operation was stopped in accordance with the standard operating procedure (SOP) for a seven-day search.

"This is also the result of an evaluation with the team and the victim's family," said Sariman.

Sariman emphasized that although the joint SAR operation was closed, monitoring would still be continued.

Previously, a minibus with police number BL 1537 EF fell into a ravine in Tanjung Mulia Village, Sitellu Tali Urang Jahe District, Pakpak Bharat Regency, North Sumatra on Sunday, December 12 morning.

The minibus was driven by Arman (51) carrying six passengers from Aceh to Medan City.
