JAKARTA - President Director of PT Jakarta Propertindo Widi Amanasto said that the DKI Provincial Government has not yet determined the location for the Formula E circuit.

However, now Jakpro as the organizer has narrowed down two locations, one of which will be designated as a circuit, namely the Ancol area and JIExpo. Previously, DKI established five alternative locations.

"So one of the things that we want to activate is in Ancol, there are also several. At JIExpo, the possibility is still open. Converging to the two (locations)," Widi told reporters, Tuesday, December 21.

Because it has narrowed down to two options, Widi said that the announcement of the electric-powered car racing circuit will be carried out in the near future.

"Maybe we will announce on the 22nd immediately. Now we still want to have a meeting," he said.

Previously, the Chief Executive of Formula E who is also a Nasdem Party politician, Ahmad Sahroni said that the Formula E circuit had not yet been decided.

However, Sahroni admitted that there were no significant obstacles in the selection process for the electric car racing circuit. The factors causing the circuit have not been determined because all the option locations are eligible to be circuits.

"The problem is that all of the venues are good, so it's a bit backward (the date for determining the location of the circuit)," said Sahroni.

Until now, Sahroni admitted that the executive committee and the DKI Provincial Government are still communicating with Formula E Operation (FEO) as the Formula E license holder in determining the circuit.

"Communication is still in process because we want the location to be determined not only for one-time use but can be used in other events. For example, a place for motorcycle racing and others," he said.
