Boyolali Disdikbud Issues No Holiday Policy For Students On Christmas And New Year

JAKARTA - The Department of Education and Culture (Disdikbud) of Boyolali Regency, Central Java Province issued a policy of not closing kindergarten/elementary/junior high school students in its area, along with the Christmas and New Year's holidays of 2022.

Kindergarten/SD/SMP students according to the education calendar on Monday, 20 "December to January 2, 2022, school holidays should be for the end of the first semester of 2021/2022," said Head of the Education and Culture Office of Boyolali Darmanto, when attending a vaccination event for children aged 6-11 years in Boyolali, Monday.

"According to education calendar, rapport day for students in Boyolali, on December 18, 2021, then holiday from December 19 to January 2, 2022. However, Boyolali has a policy of postponing student holidays on January 10-15," said Darmanto, quoted by Antara, Monday, December 20.

With the permission of the Regent of Boyolali, for kindergarten, elementary, and junior high schools in Boyolali Regency, this Monday, they will continue to participate in face-to-face learning activities (PTM), entering the second semester of the academic year. This is, at the same time, in order to speed up the vaccination process for children aged 6-11 years.

Students continue to attend PTM in order to reduce the mobility of children at Christmas and the new year 2022. Children continue to study at school or offline while at the same time succeeding in the implementation of vaccination for the first dose of children aged 6-11 years in Boyolali.

The holidays for kindergarten, elementary, and junior high school students in Boyolali will be replaced on January 10-15, 2022. On January 17, students return to school for the second semester of PTM.

However, Disdikbud in addition to keeping PTM activities smooth, safe and healthy, also supports the Health Office in carrying out vaccinations for children aged 6-11 years, which is very important. Because of the mobility of children playing with such fun, they do not think about keeping their distance and away from the crowd like adults.

"Vaccination activities for children aged 6-11 years must be supported to form children's communal immunity and will further strengthen PTM activities," he said.

Meanwhile, the PTM trial activity in Boyolali started at the end of the semester general examination so that all schools, both public and private, participated.
