National Police Chief Transfers KPK Investigation Director To NTT Police Chief

JAKARTA - National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, has rotated some of his members. One of them, Brigadier General Setyo Budiyanto who served in the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

The rotation was stated in the telegram (ST) number ST/2568/XII/KEP/2021 dated December 17, 2021. In which, the ST was signed by HR Assistant, Inspector General Wahyu Widada.

At the KPK, Brigadier General Setyo Budiyanto served as Director of KPK Investigations. Currently, he is assigned as the Chief of the NTT Police.

"Yes, it is true, the mutation process is natural, which includes retirement and tour of duty and area and refreshment", said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, when confirmed, Saturday, December 18.

Brigadier General Setyo Budiyanto, who is known to have served as Director of KPK Investigations since September 18, 2020, has been entrusted with replacing Inspector General Lotharia Latif who was transferred as the Maluku Regional Police Chief.

Previously, the National Police Chief also transferred several other Bhayangkara Corps Generals. One of them, Commissioner general Firli Bahuri.

The three-star general was transferred as a high-ranking officer (Pati) of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police to retire.

Head of Public Information Bureau Division, Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono, stated that although Firli Bahuri was transferred, it did not affect his position as KPK leader. Because the mutation applies to his status in the Police.

"He retired from the National Police, but remains as chairman of the KPK", said Rusdi.
