East Kalimantan Is Forecasted For Heavy Rain Accompanied By Lightning Today

BALIKPAPAN - A number of areas in East Kalimantan (Kaltim) are forecasted to experience heavy rains and thunderstorms from Tuesday to Wednesday. Residents are asked to be aware of the impact of these events.

In East Kutai Regency, thunderstorms are forecast on Tuesday at 14.00 central Indonesia time in Karangan, Muara Wahau, and Busang Districts. At 17.00 central Indonesia time in Kongbeng, Muara Wahau, and Busang Districts.

At 20.00 central Indonesia time in Batu Ampar District, Kaliorang, Karangan, Kongbeng, Muara Wahau, Sandaran, Sangkulirang, Bengalon, Busang, Kaubun, Long Mesengat, Muara Bengkal, Rantau Pulung, North Sangatta, South Sangatta, and Telen.

At 23.00 central Indonesia time, the incident occurred in the Districts of Kaliorang, Karangan, Kongbeng, Sandaran, Sangkulirang, Bengalon, Kaubun, Rantau Pulung, North Sangatta, and South Sangatta.

At 02.00 central Indonesia time or Wednesday morning in Batu Ampar District, Kaliorang, Karangan, Kongbeng, Muara Wahau, Sandaran, Sangkulirang, Bengalon, Busang, Kaubun, Rantau Pulung, North Sangatta, South Sangatta, Telen, and at 5 am in Kongbeng District.

For West Kutai Regency, said Carolina, on Tuesday at 17.00 central Indonesia time, there was heavy rain in Long Iram and Linggang Bigung Sub-districts, then at 23.00 central Indonesia time, thunderstorms occurred in Penyinggahan District.

"In Berau Regency, thunderstorms occurred, among others, on Wednesday at 02.00 in the morning in Kelay, Tanjung Redeb, Batu Putih, Big-Biduk, Mount Tabur, Sambaliung, Segah, and Teluk Bayur sub-districts," said Carolina.
