JAKARTA - The Indonesian Anti-Corruption Society (MAKI) sent a letter of application to the Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Firli Bahuri to attend the inauguration of 44 former KPK employees to become Polri ASN. The inauguration of former KPK employees was held on Thursday, December 9.

MAKI Coordinator Boyamin Saiman said the application letter was sent online via email to the KPK Public Complaints (Dumas) website.

"It was also given to the KPK spokesman, the KPK Dumas account," said Boyamin, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, December 8.

Boyamin explained that Firli's presence could later be interpreted as a process of islah (reunification) and peace as a member of the state apparatus to eradicate corruption, which can then work together in eradicating corruption in the future.

In the letter, Boyamin also said that the National Insight Test (TWK) conducted by the KPK had previously made 44 former KPK employees move to the National Police Headquarters.

"Recognizing it or not, whether we like it or not, it has created a gulf between the KPK leadership and the 44 people, so that greatness of soul is needed for reconciliation or reconciliation," said Boyamin.

This islah, said Boyamin, is needed for the good of the nation and state, especially in efforts to eradicate corruption in the future.

Boyamin said that this islah should have been initiated and initiated by the Chairperson of the KPK, Firli Bahuri, as the party who was older and had a higher position.

"We do not look at who is right and who is wrong in the TWK case," said Boyamin.

Boyamin added, with the inauguration of 44 former KPK employees as State Civil Apparatus (ASN) of the National Police, this is a moment to close the past and open a new page to work together to eradicate corruption.

"Once again we request the presence of Mr. Firli Bahuri at the inauguration of the 44 former KPK ASN," wrote Boyamin.

Previously, the National Police inaugurated Novel Baswedan and 43 former KPK employees who did not pass the TWK as National Police ASN on Thursday, December 9, at the National Police Headquarters. The inauguration process took place right at the moment of World Anti-Corruption Day.
