For Fishermen In Jepara, Don't Refuse If You Are Told To Use A Buoy

JAKARTA - The Head of the Jepara BPBD Daily, Arwin Noor Isdiyanto, appealed to fishermen in the Jepara waters to equip themselves with communication tools in addition to other safety devices so that their whereabouts can be monitored if something happens.

"At least when there is a problem at sea, fishermen can convey their whereabouts so that rescue efforts can be carried out immediately," he said responding to the disappearance of two fishermen while at sea in Mandalika Waters, Donorojo District, Jepara, Wednesday, December 8.

If there is communication, when an accident occurs at sea, it will also make it easier to track the coordinates so as to facilitate rescue efforts.

He also asked fishermen to equip themselves with safety equipment when going to sea, especially life jackets in anticipation of an accident at sea.

"Until now, there are still many who are reluctant to wear life jackets (floats) for various reasons. However, for the sake of safety when going to sea, of course, you must always carry it. At least when there is a sea accident, the chance of survival is still quite large because it can float longer," he said, quoted from Antara.

Meanwhile, the rescue and rescue team is still looking for the whereabouts of the two fishermen who were declared missing, namely Soferul Alamain from Clering Village, Donorojo District, Jepara and Sunarji from Tawangrejo Village, Dukuhseti District, Pati.

One of them is known to exist on the sea border between Pati Regency and Rembang Regency or about 30 miles north of the Rembang PLTU.

The two were reported missing on Saturday (4/12) at around 14.00 WIB, when they went to sea from the Puncel Fish Auction Place (TPI), Dukuhseti District, on the Mona Rosa fishing boat.

Supposedly on Sunday (5/12) around 14.00 WIB the fisherman had docked at the Puncel TPI. However, as of Monday (6/12), the two fishermen had not returned to sea. Then a search was carried out in the waters of Mandalika and Puncel.
