Jakarta - MPR Chairman Ahmad Muzani assessed that the one-stop export governance policy through PT Danantara Sumber Daya Indonesia can strengthen Indonesia's bargaining position in global trade.

Muzani made the statement at the Annual MPR Session and Joint Session of the DPR and DPD at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Friday, August 14.

Muzani associated the policy with the mandate of Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution regarding the management of land, water, and natural resources for the greatest prosperity of the people.

"We also witnessed how the government took a policy on one-stop export governance through PT Danantara Sumber Daya Indonesia, which clearly strengthens the bargaining position of the country in global trade," said Muzani.

According to Muzani, the management of natural resources must be based on justice, sustainability, and environmental sustainability.

Muzani also referred to the MPR Decree Number IX/MPR/2001 concerning Agrarian Reform and Natural Resources Management.

He emphasized that the management of natural wealth is not only an economic issue, but also relates to the constitutional mandate that the benefits should return to the community.

In his remarks, Muzani placed the ability to manage one's own wealth as part of state sovereignty.

According to Muzani, sovereignty means the ability of a nation to determine its own path, protect its territory, protect its people, manage its wealth, and make decisions based on national interests.
